Tema 3: “Be going to”.

Para empezar:

1) Este año nos sorprendió la pandemia por el COVID-19. Nuestras realidades en aislamiento obligatorio ahora son otras. Observen el diálogo siguiente. ¿Qué dicen los adolescentes? ¿Están hablando de su pasado, su presente o su futuro?

a- Look at the pictures and sentences below. What do they say?

Are you going to see your Friends this weekend?

No, I’m not. I’m going to stay at home and study.

- Mark with an “X” what, according to you, the adolescents say (2 options are the correct ones)

1.    Estoy viendo a mis amigos.

2.    Voy a ver a mis amigos este fin de semana.

3.    Vas a ver a tus amigos este fin de semana?.

4.    No, voy a hacer el trabajo de la casa.

5.    No, voy a quedarme y estudiar en casa.

2) Habrán notado que las imágenes y oraciones representan un tiempo verbal futuro. Este se llama “GOING TO” FUTURE. Veamos ahora cómo se conjuga este tiempo verbal.

·       *   Usamos “Going to” Future para hablar de planes e intenciones a futuro, como así también cuando hacemos predicciones a futuro pero basándonos en ‘evidencia’ del presente

·       *  La forma es: Sujeto +  am/is/are  +  going to  +  verbo infinitivo… (Affirmative)

                       Sujeto +  am not / isn’t / aren’t  + going to  + verbo infinitivo (Negative)

                       (Wh-) + Am/is/are + Sujeto  +  going to  +  verbo infinitive?  (Interrogatives)
